March 18 Shopping Spree and Thank God It's FridayToday, I got up and decided to take off and go back to JC Penney's out at Golf Mills Shopping Center in Niles, Illinois. I decided to buy that Turquoise and Lime Floral Print 50 something dress with the little matching cardigan. I tried on another one, it was silk but it did not do anything for me. I also bought the faux turquoise Saint stretch bracelet. HSN was selling and it sold out. They were selling it for exactly what HSN was selling it for. I also got matching faux turquoise earrings and matching necklace. Turquoise is all the rage. If you can not afford the real thing. Faux turquoise is the next best thing. I have some real turquoise. I got it from Ebay. It is great. I have some real turquoise stud earrings. They are great. I also got a pair of panty hose but I need to find some body shaping tights in Ivory to go with my new 50 something dress. It is great. Sears had some great new looks. So did Target and so did Kohl's department store. Night Blooming Jasmine is the scent of the season, next to Peony, Cherry Blossom, and some other single floral fragrances. I love any kind of Jasmine. I had my Lenten meal at King's Inn. I had crab fried rice, salmon, crab lagoons, and egg rolls and a diet soda and egg drop soup. I was hungry. Anyway, there is my day in a nutshell. Take care everyone. Have a nice weekend and Blessed Passion Sunday. L_EA_Wesson March 17 Fashion SenseI received good news from Dress Barn. The dress I liked came in from another Dress Barn and I am very pleased. The dress I picked out for Easter is of floral eyelet and it has a matching little cardigan. It has a square bodice and is trimmed with ribbon around the base of the dress hem. I fell in love with this dress. However, reaching menopause has caused me to pick up unnecessary and unwanted weight gain. So I had to order the dress in a size 16. I am planning to go out to JC Penneys tomorrow and pick up that blue eyelet dress similar to the one I am getting from Dress Barn on Sunday after Passion Sunday Mass and eatting out at Old Country Buffet. My fashion sense is that I need full skirt on my dresses or skirts. No slits, no low cut bodices that expose clevage and my skirts and dresses come below my knee almost to beneath my knee in fact. I like lace, ribbons, pearls, and simple jewelry. My favorite colors are : Teal, Aqua and Turquoise Blue. I like my old standbys Navy blue and black. I like reds, violets, off white or winter white or ivory. Greens, yellows, drain me of my coloring. I only wear emerald green for St. Pat's Day. I like apricots, some oranges, peaches, and I love floral prints. My favorite scent is Jasmine, (Single Floral Tone), Sweet Honesty, Spell Bound by Estee Lauder, Goddess by Marilyn Miglin and Wings By Beverly Hills. My favorite flower is my birth flowe the rose. My favorite gem is pearls, lapis, turquoise, or blue jade or london blue topaz. The only necklaces I wear around my neck is that of my Patron Saint, Elizabeth Ann Baley Seton, the medallion that my God Mother and Sponsor, Kathy McMillan, gave me when I became a Christian Catholic and a sterling silver Corpus Chrisit, i.e. The Body of Christ removed from the cross. I wear one ring on my finger, it is my Irish Claddaugh, on my left. I wear a pair of 14 K golden Claddaugh earrings in my ears. I sometimes wear my birthstone which is either the Alexandrite or pearl. My make-up is of that of Signature Club A from Adrian Arpel and Serious Skin Care which comes from HSN. I wear a natural or medium beige foundation, blue eye shadow, sometimes turquoise, and a rose colored blush and soft black mascara. This is my beauty sense. L_EA_Wesson |
